an update
i have been slacking on a lot of things lately. slacking on orders, slacking on updating this blog, and slacking on life in general. i don’t want to barf a sob story on you all, but the long and short of it is that my mental health is not what it should be, and so i’m making some changes in order to get back on track.
first, i will no longer be updating this blog. you’re all more than welcome to follow my personal blog.
second, orders are temporarily closed. i will complete the ones i’ve already received as of today (5/15/13), but after that i will be unable to fill any orders for a brief period of time. when they’re back up, i’ll have them available on a bigcartel page which i’ll link to on my personal blog when it’s all ready.
i want to sincerely thank you all for every ounce of support and kindness you’ve shown me while i ran this blog. it made a genuine difference and i truly respect and appreciate every last bit of it. i’m wishing you all the best.
if there is a higher power after all may it bless laura for being so tolerant of my social ineptitude
OPEN CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
I disappeared for a bit after a whole mess of bullshit went down, but I have some awesome news:
I’ve been granted the opportunity to interview Laura. I’ll be publishing it in a mini-zine format on a date I’ve yet to determine, but I wanted to get you guys involved.
SO. if you have any original artwork or photos of laura you’d like to contribute to the zine, you can email them to me at truetranssoulrebel@gmail.com. everyone who contributes will be fully credited to your specifications, AND I’ll mail a physical copy of the zine straight to your precious fingers.
as of now there is no deadline, so don’t feel rushed,
i’m just yanking this and reposting it on my own rather than reblog someone else’s post with my whining but
they’re playing one of my favorite venues and if i don’t get to go to this show i’m going to be really, really fucking bummed. i keep obsessively checking the venue website because i’m paranoid that it’ll sell out before i get paid (not to imply that i can technically afford to buy the tickets even when my check DOES come in, but i’m probably going to be a stupid shit and buy them anyway). laura offered to guestlist me last year after we hooked her up with some rad birthday presents, but i don’t want to rely on that. i interviewed for a second job today but i don’t know if that’s going to come through in time either
SO i guess i’m just going to take a shot in the dark and ask if any generous benefactors out there feel like hooking a brother up with a ticket. i can shower u in shirts
